Job Description
The RN – IP Wound & Ostomy Coordinator is responsible for managing inpatient wound, ostomy, and continence care through assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and collaboration with healthcare teams.
Provides patient education and emotional support to enhance recovery and well-being.
Monitors patient progress and manages specialized equipment to ensure effective treatment.
Ensures compliance with standards, promotes patient advocacy, and works to prevent skin breakdown.
Develops, implements, and evaluates individualized care plans, documents progress, and stays current with research and technological advances.
Qualifications include RN licensure, preferred wound care certification, and at least 2 years of relevant experience.
Requires strong assessment, teaching, collaboration, documentation, and equipment management skills.
