Job Description
This Speech/Language Pathologist role involves assessing, planning, and providing treatment to patients of all ages, including pediatric and developmentally delayed populations, to improve function and prevent disability.
Assists patients in achieving optimal performance and social reintegration while managing disabilities.
Participates in performance improvement and CQI activities to maintain personal competency.
Manages departmental budget related to Speech Pathology services for quality patient care.
Coordinates scheduling of evaluations and treatments. Minimum requirements include a Masterâs Degree, current Iowa licensure, ASHA certification, and proficiency in speech therapy techniques and equipment. Knowledge of infection control, CPR (AHA BLS), and effective communication skills are essential.
