Job Description
The PRN Registered Nurse in the Wound Care Clinic provides patient education, wound assessments, treatments, and care coordination to improve patient outcomes.
Responsibilities include obtaining lab samples, documenting treatments, notifying physicians of abnormalities, and engaging in quality improvement activities.
Provides education to patients and families on disease processes, treatments, and responsibilities.
Performs initial and ongoing wound assessments, applies dressings, interprets lab data, and coordinates scheduling for efficient care.
Ensures compliance with healthcare standards, promotes a positive organizational image, and assists with inpatient wound care as needed.
Requires critical thinking, clinical expertise, BLS certification, and current RN licensure. Prior medical-surgical and wound care experience preferred.
